Jayden Layne is an independently owned clothing boutique specializing in everyday casual style, western-inspired pieces, size-inclusive denim, and custom shopping experiences.
Our customers want honest fit advice and wearable outfits for real life—from a casual weekday to a concert or rodeo. We’re looking for someone who understands that style and can help bring it to life through customer service, outfit building, and merchandise displays.
Dependability and long-term commitment are our top priorities. This position requires someone who takes ownership, follows through, and can consistently cover the required weekday schedule.
What you’ll do
• Personally help customers choose jeans, clothing, and accessories that suit their fit preferences and lifestyle.
• Build complete outfits and explain why the pieces work together.
• Learn our denim brands and confidently explain differences in fit, stretch, rise, and sizing.
• Start customer conversations and offer useful recommendations.
• Style mannequins and refresh displays that reflect Jayden Layne’s everyday and western-inspired aesthetic.
• Support sales goals through thoughtful styling and strong customer relationships.
• Help lead the team and handle daily store responsibilities independently.
• Use Shopify for checkout, orders, inventory, and product updates.
• Receive merchandise, replenish the sales floor, and keep the boutique organized.
• Use Trello for task completion and nonurgent team communication.
• Learn our custom shopping experiences and assist customers with them.
• Use AI tools to support everyday tasks, reviewing results for accuracy and brand voice.
What we need
• Consistent Monday–Friday availability from 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
• A demonstrated record of reliability and follow-through.
• Interest in a stable, long-term role.
• Clothing retail, personal styling, or relevant customer-facing sales experience.
• The ability to put together cohesive outfits using clothing, shoes, and accessories.
• An understanding of everyday casual and western-inspired style.
• Confidence giving helpful, respectful fit advice to customers of different sizes.
• Initiative, organization, and clear communication.
• Comfort learning technology and using AI tools.
Preferred experience
• Independent boutique or specialty apparel retail.
• Shopify.
• Visual merchandising and mannequin styling.
• Retail leadership or keyholder responsibilities.
We can teach our systems and product knowledge. You should bring a strong eye for styling, genuine interest in helping customers, and dependable follow-through.
